Dermal Filler
What
Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid—the same substance your skin produces naturally—to replace lost volume, smooth deeper lines, and refine facial structure. Over time, we lose collagen, fat, and bone support, which can make the face appear tired or hollow. Fillers strategically support these areas, restoring a youthful shape while maintaining natural movement and expression. When placed by an experienced injector, the result is subtle, beautiful, and completely personalized.
How
During treatment, your injector places tiny amounts of filler beneath the skin using advanced mapping techniques to lift, contour, or soften specific areas. HA attracts and holds water, giving a natural, hydrated, youthful appearance. Results are
instant, customizable, and reversible. You’ll leave the appointment looking refreshed—not overdone—with improvement that continues to settle beautifully over the next 1–2 weeks.
When
You may be a great candidate for dermal filler when you’re noticing:
- Volume loss in the cheeks or under-eyes
- Deepening lines around the mouth or nose
- Hollowing or tired-looking areas
- Lips that look thin or lack definition
- Softening of the jawline or lower-face sagging
- Asymmetry or features you’d like to subtly enhance
Pre-Treatment
- Schedule your Dermal Filler appointment at least 4 weeks prior to a special event, such as a wedding or a vacation to allow for complete healing.
- Avoid blood thinners prior to treatment. Patients that bruise easily or take blood thinners may take longer to heal. Please be patient.
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may cause bruising).
- To minimize the risk of bruising you may take Arnica or Bromelain
Post-Treatment
- Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area. Unless instructed by the provider.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Please apply cool compresses or ice packs for 20 minutes each hour, the first few hours after treatment (while awake). This will help minimize swelling.
- Use Tylenol for discomfort, this will also minimize swelling.
- Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.
- Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling. This may be started the day of surgery 3-4 times a day for 4 days. Arnica, is not necessary for healing. This option is elective.
